6N / 7DDETAILED ITINERARY FOR 5N/6D FAMILY PACKAGE
Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg

Start in Imphal, land in Srinagar and let a local team handle the hotels, the private cab and a pace that suits your group.
The short version for Imphal: a long way from the valley: 7–8 nights keeps the pace easy.
Plan 7–8 nights from Imphal. The long connection means the first day is for rest, and a spare day protects your return journey. We are a travel agency based in Srinagar, so our plans follow real road, weather and hotel conditions: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg, with the quieter Gurez Valley as a seasonal option.

Each plan opens with its day-by-day itinerary. More options: all Kashmir tour packages, honeymoon, family and budget trips.
By air
Imphal is served by Bir Tikendrajit International Airport (IMF), so many travellers connect through Guwahati, Kolkata or Delhi. Check which airport gives you the shortest total journey before booking.
By train
Rail is rarely practical from Imphal for a normal holiday because of the distance. Fly, and arrange cabs inside Kashmir.
By road
Driving is not an option for a normal holiday from here. Fly, and book a private cab for the valley. See our Kashmir cab booking page.
Send us your flight or train details and we plan the Srinagar pick-up around them. A Vande Bharat train connects Katra and Srinagar and was extended to Jammu Tawi in 2026; timetables change, so check IRCTC.
Manipur connects to the rest of India through a small number of flights, usually via Guwahati, Kolkata or Delhi. Build generous layovers into the plan and keep a spare day in case a connection changes.
With several connections from Imphal, assume you will arrive tired. Use day one only for check-in and rest, then follow Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam over four or five days and keep a spare day in case a flight changes.
The year-end holidays, the summer break and festival weeks are the usual windows, though school calendars vary.
For month-by-month conditions, see our honeymoon packages guide and the article on how much a Kashmir trip costs.
Every package page lists its inclusions and exclusions. Read our cancellation and refund policy and the Kashmir travel FAQs, and check current travel advisories before you book.
The cost of a Kashmir tour package generally starts from ₹6,000 per person and can go up to ₹40,000 or more per person, depending on the travel requirements.
The final price depends on the number of days, number of travellers, travel season, hotel category, transportation, meal plan, and destinations included in your itinerary. Standard, Deluxe, Super Deluxe, and Premium packages are available to suit different budgets (see our budget tours and all Kashmir holiday packages).
For example, travellers looking for a budget-friendly holiday may choose standard accommodation, while honeymoon couples may prefer premium hotels or a luxury houseboat on Nigeen Lake.
At Acme Tour & Travels, we recommend comparing the complete package inclusions rather than choosing an option based on price alone. Our guide on how much a Kashmir trip will cost explains the cost breakdown in detail.
We generally recommend 5 nights and 6 days for a relaxed first Kashmir trip. This gives you more time to explore the major destinations without rushing between places.
Suggested durations include:
For travellers interested in offbeat places, photography, or a slower holiday, we recommend allowing a week or longer.
Extra expenses depend on the selected package and itinerary. Common examples include:
We recommend asking for a written quotation that clearly separates included services from optional expenses.
It is also sensible to keep approximately 10–15% of your planned trip budget aside for unforeseen expenses. This is a budgeting suggestion, not a mandatory fee.
Kashmir is beautiful throughout the year, but the best month depends on the experience you want.
Each season offers a different side of Kashmir. Our recommendation is to select your travel dates according to your preferred experiences, budget, and comfort.
Our standard package inclusions generally cover:
Some packages may also include a Shikara ride or other specified activities. Inclusions vary by quotation, so we provide the details before confirmation.
Gondola tickets, pony rides, local union taxis, entrance tickets, optional activities, shopping, and sightseeing outside the agreed itinerary may cost extra unless specifically included in writing.
We can also arrange accommodation-only, transport-only (see Kashmir car rental with driver), or customised packages according to your requirements.
Share your dates, number of travellers and hotel preference. We reply by phone or WhatsApp with an itinerary and a written quote.
