Amarnath Yatra Registration 2027

A plain-language guide to registering for the Amarnath Yatra – based on the 2026 process, to be confirmed when SASB announces 2027.

Important: The Amarnath Yatra 2027 dates, registration timings and fees have not been announced yet. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) notifies them each year. Details on this page follow the 2026 yatra (3 July to 28 August 2026, advance registration from 15 April 2026) and will be updated once SASB publishes the 2027 schedule. Always confirm dates and rules on the official portal, jksasb.nic.in.

Is registration compulsory?

Yes. Registration with the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board is mandatory, and pilgrims are expected to travel on the date and route allotted to them. In 2026, administrators repeatedly asked pilgrims not to arrive at the Pahalgam or Baltal base camps without a valid registration or ahead of their allotted slot.

How registration worked in 2026

  1. Advance registration opened on 15 April 2026 and was available online on the SASB portal and offline through more than 550 designated bank branches across India, with Punjab National Bank acting as the nodal bank.
  2. Fill the form with your personal details, preferred route and date.
  3. Upload or submit the Compulsory Health Certificate issued by an authorised doctor.
  4. Pay the registration fee. The fee in 2026 was reported as ₹150 per pilgrim; confirm the 2027 amount on the official site.
  5. Receive your yatra permit and keep it with you through the journey.

Documents to keep ready

  • Government photo ID (the same ID you register with).
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
  • Compulsory Health Certificate in the prescribed format.
  • Printed copy of the yatra permit and registration confirmation.
  • Travel tickets and hotel confirmation for your stay in Kashmir.

Eligibility basics

In 2026 pilgrims aged 13 to 70 were permitted. As in recent years, children and pilgrims above the age limit, and women with pregnancy of more than six weeks, were not permitted. Anyone with heart, lung, blood pressure or other conditions should consult a doctor before applying. These rules can change, so check the 2027 guidelines.

What Acme Tour & Travels can and cannot do

We guide pilgrims through the process, explain the steps and arrange everything on the Kashmir side – hotels, cabs and, in helicopter packages, helicopter arrangements subject to availability. We do not issue yatra permits; those come only from the Shrine Board and its authorised channels. Be careful with anyone who promises a guaranteed permit or a registration slot. See our helicopter guide and transportation guide.

Tips for registering

  • Register as soon as the portal opens; popular dates fill early.
  • Choose your route (Baltal or Pahalgam) after reading our Baltal and Pahalgam route guides.
  • Book flights and trains only after your date is confirmed.
  • Keep digital and printed copies of every document.

Amarnath Yatra Registration 2027 – frequently asked questions

Have the Amarnath Yatra 2027 dates been announced?

Not yet. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board announces the dates each year. In 2026 the yatra ran for 57 days from 3 July to 28 August, and advance registration opened on 15 April. For 2027, please wait for the official notification on jksasb.nic.in before booking flights or trains.

Is registration compulsory for the Amarnath Yatra?

Yes. Pilgrims must hold a valid registration and travel on the date and route allotted to them. A Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor is part of the process. Read our step-by-step guide to Amarnath Yatra registration 2027.

Where do I register for the Amarnath Yatra?

Through the official SASB portal at jksasb.nic.in or at the designated bank branches announced by the Shrine Board. Avoid unofficial websites and agents who ask for large payments to “guarantee” a slot.

Can I register on the spot at the base camp?

Do not plan around it. In 2026 spot registration was tightened and administrators advised pilgrims to travel only on their allotted dates. Complete advance registration instead.

What if I miss my allotted date?

Rules for rescheduling are set by the Shrine Board and may not allow changes. Contact SASB through official channels and ask us about hotel and cab rebooking terms before you pay.
