Kashmir tour package FAQs

How does the booking process work with Acme Tour & Travels?

Our booking process starts by understanding your travel dates, number of guests, trip duration, budget, and preferred destinations.

We then prepare a customised quotation with accommodation, transportation, meals, and sightseeing details. Once you approve the proposed package, the availability and rates of the selected services are verified before confirmation.

Before making a payment, ask for written details covering:

  • Day-wise itinerary and overnight stays.
  • Hotel or houseboat name and room category.
  • Vehicle type and agreed sightseeing route.
  • Package inclusions and exclusions.
  • Total price, advance payment, and balance due.
  • Cancellation and amendment terms (see terms and conditions).

Customers should keep their booking confirmation and payment receipts for reference throughout the trip.

What should I check before booking a Kashmir tour package?

Before confirming your trip, we recommend checking the following:

  • Compare the total package price, not just the advertised starting price.
  • Confirm the exact hotels, houseboats, and room categories.
  • Check whether breakfast, dinner, transport, fuel, tolls, and parking are included.
  • Ask which sightseeing activities and local transport services cost extra.
  • Review the day-wise itinerary and allow enough time between destinations.
  • Check cancellation, amendment, and payment terms in writing.
  • Verify the travel agency's business details and independent customer reviews.
  • Keep some flexibility for weather-related changes and unexpected expenses.

Our advice is simple: choose a package that matches your expectations, comfort, and budget rather than choosing the cheapest option automatically.

What happens if bad weather affects my Kashmir itinerary?

Weather conditions, snowfall, road closures, and other local circumstances can affect sightseeing and travel schedules, especially in winter.

If a disruption occurs, the available alternatives depend on the affected route, current conditions, and supplier availability. We recommend keeping some flexibility in your itinerary and avoiding tight connections between destinations.

If changes become necessary, we aim to communicate the available options and discuss any changes affecting the agreed services or price before proceeding, wherever possible (see our cancellation and refund policy).

Travellers should always follow local authorities' guidance when weather or road conditions make travel unsuitable.

What are the extra expenses in a Kashmir tour package?

Extra expenses depend on the selected package and itinerary. Common examples include:

  • Gulmarg Gondola tickets.
  • Pony rides.
  • Local union taxis for particular sightseeing areas.
  • Entrance tickets.
  • Optional activities and adventure experiences.
  • Additional sightseeing outside the agreed route.
  • Personal shopping and expenses.
  • Meals or services not included in the selected plan.

We recommend asking for a written quotation that clearly separates included services from optional expenses.

It is also sensible to keep approximately 10–15% of your planned trip budget aside for unforeseen expenses. This is a budgeting suggestion, not a mandatory fee.
