Kashmir Tour Package from Bengaluru 2026–27

Start in Bengaluru, land in Srinagar and let a local team handle the hotels, the private cab and a pace that suits your group.

Planning Kashmir from Bengaluru? Start here

The short version for Bengaluru: nonstop flights exist, but it is a long flight – plan a restful first day. This page also serves travellers searching from Bangalore.

Because the flight is long, 6 to 7 nights is a comfortable plan for most families. A 5-night plan is possible with good flight timings. We are a travel agency based in Srinagar, so our plans follow real road, weather and hotel conditions: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg, with the quieter Gurez Valley as a seasonal option.

How to reach Kashmir from Bengaluru

By air

Nonstop flights between Bengaluru and Srinagar have been listed with several airlines on recent schedules; at around four hours, it is one of the longer domestic flights into the valley. Plan a restful first day after landing instead of a long drive to Gulmarg or Pahalgam.

By train

Rail is not practical from Bengaluru for a normal holiday: the distance to Jammu is very large and needs several days. Fly, and use a private cab within Kashmir.

By road

Driving is not recommended. See our Kashmir cab booking page.

Send us your flight or train details and we plan the Srinagar pick-up around them. A Vande Bharat train connects Katra and Srinagar and was extended to Jammu Tawi in 2026; timetables change, so check IRCTC.

Travelling from Karnataka

Karnataka has airports in Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Hubballi and a few smaller cities, and nonstop flights to Srinagar have been listed from Bengaluru. Coastal and inland cities differ in climate, but all see a big temperature drop in the valley.

A suggested route for Bengaluru travellers

The flight from Bengaluru is long, so aim to land by early afternoon and keep the first evening to a gentle shikara ride. Days two to five cover Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam at an unhurried pace. If you add Sonmarg, do it as a day trip from Srinagar rather than changing hotels again.

When Bengaluru travellers usually go

Bengaluru travellers often travel in the April–May school holidays, around Dasara and Diwali, over long weekends and between Christmas and New Year. Moving from Bengaluru’s mild weather to Kashmir’s cold means packing seriously for winter trips.

For month-by-month conditions, see our honeymoon packages guide and the article on how much a Kashmir trip costs.

Tips for travellers from Bengaluru

  • Choose a flight that lands in the morning or early afternoon.
  • For winter trips, bring proper woollens, gloves and waterproof shoes.
  • Keep your last night in Srinagar if your return flight is early.

For example, travellers looking for a budget-friendly holiday may choose standard accommodation, while honeymoon couples may prefer premium hotels or a luxury houseboat on Nigeen Lake.

How many days are enough for a Kashmir trip?

We generally recommend 5 nights and 6 days for a relaxed first Kashmir trip. This gives you more time to explore the major destinations without rushing between places.

  • 4 nights / 5 days: Srinagar, Gulmarg, and Pahalgam.

  • 6 nights / 7 days or longer: More time for Sonamarg, Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, or other destinations, subject to season and accessibility.

For travellers interested in offbeat places, photography, or a slower holiday, we recommend allowing a week or longer.

What should I check before booking a Kashmir tour package?

Before confirming your trip, we recommend checking the following:

  • Compare the total package price, not just the advertised starting price.
  • Confirm the exact hotels, houseboats, and room categories.
  • Check whether breakfast, dinner, transport, fuel, tolls, and parking are included.
  • Ask which sightseeing activities and local transport services cost extra.
  • Review the day-wise itinerary and allow enough time between destinations.
  • Check cancellation, amendment, and payment terms in writing.
  • Verify the travel agency's business details and independent customer reviews.
  • Keep some flexibility for weather-related changes and unexpected expenses.

Our advice is simple: choose a package that matches your expectations, comfort, and budget rather than choosing the cheapest option automatically.

You can request a family holiday, honeymoon package, budget trip, luxury experience, or itinerary that includes offbeat destinations.
