How to reach Kashmir from Agartala

By air

Agartala is served by Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport (IXA), so many travellers connect through Kolkata, Guwahati or Delhi. Check which airport gives you the shortest total journey before booking.

By train

Rail is rarely practical from Agartala for a normal holiday because of the distance. Fly, and arrange cabs inside Kashmir.

By road

Driving is not an option for a normal holiday from here. Fly, and book a private cab for the valley. See our Kashmir cab booking page.

Send us your flight or train details and we plan the Srinagar pick-up around them. A Vande Bharat train connects Katra and Srinagar and was extended to Jammu Tawi in 2026; timetables change, so check IRCTC.

Travelling from Tripura

Tripura is one of the furthest states from the valley, with a single main airport at Agartala. Most itineraries connect through Kolkata, Guwahati or Delhi, so plan seven to eight nights.

A suggested route for Agartala travellers

With several connections from Agartala, assume you will arrive tired. Use day one only for check-in and rest, then follow Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam over four or five days and keep a spare day in case a flight changes.

When Agartala travellers usually go

Durga Puja, the year-end holidays and the summer break are the usual planning windows.

Our standard package inclusions generally cover:

We can also arrange accommodation-only, transport-only (see Kashmir car rental with driver), or customised packages according to your requirements.

What are the extra expenses in a Kashmir tour package?

Extra expenses depend on the selected package and itinerary. Common examples include:

  • Gulmarg Gondola tickets.

  • Local union taxis for particular sightseeing areas.
  • Entrance tickets.
  • Optional activities and adventure experiences.
  • Additional sightseeing outside the agreed route.
  • Personal shopping and expenses.
  • Meals or services not included in the selected plan.

We recommend asking for a written quotation that clearly separates included services from optional expenses.

It is also sensible to keep approximately 10–15% of your planned trip budget aside for unforeseen expenses. This is a budgeting suggestion, not a mandatory fee.
