How to reach Kashmir from Bareilly

By air

Start from Bareilly Airport (BEK), which has limited service; Delhi's DEL is the main gateway. Because choices are limited, compare it with larger airports nearby and connect through Delhi if that saves time. Nonstop flights have been listed on recent schedules from the airport mentioned above, but timetables change, so confirm before booking.

By train

Trains toward Jammu Tawi and Katra are available from this region, but the journey is long and usually needs a change. From Jammu or Katra you can continue to Srinagar by Vande Bharat or road. Check IRCTC and add extra days.

By road

Driving all the way is not practical for a holiday. Fly or take the train, then use a private cab inside Kashmir. See our Kashmir cab booking page.

Send us your flight or train details and we plan the Srinagar pick-up around them. A Vande Bharat train connects Katra and Srinagar and was extended to Jammu Tawi in 2026; timetables change, so check IRCTC.

Travelling from Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh is large, so the best starting point depends on your city: Lucknow, Varanasi and Prayagraj have airports, while western districts often use Delhi. Many families combine winter snow with a Vaishno Devi stop.

A suggested route for Bareilly travellers

Day one is for arriving and a short walk by Dal Lake. Then run Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam over three or four days, keeping one flexible day for weather.

When Bareilly travellers usually go

Diwali, Dussehra and the summer holidays are the busiest weeks, and winter suits families who want snow.

For month-by-month conditions, see our honeymoon packages guide and the article on how much a Kashmir trip costs.

Tips for travellers from Bareilly
