How to reach Kashmir from Dindigul

By air

Dindigul does not have a regular passenger airport of its own, so most travellers use Madurai Airport (IXM). From there a flight to Srinagar usually connects through Chennai, Bengaluru or Delhi.

By train

Rail is rarely practical from Dindigul for a normal holiday because of the distance. Fly, and arrange cabs inside Kashmir.

By road

Driving is not recommended from here. Fly or take the train and arrange a private cab in Kashmir. See our Kashmir cab booking page.

Send us your flight or train details and we plan the Srinagar pick-up around them. A Vande Bharat train connects Katra and Srinagar and was extended to Jammu Tawi in 2026; timetables change, so check IRCTC.

Travelling from Tamil Nadu

Tamil Nadu has airports in Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli and other cities, and flights to Srinagar usually connect through Chennai, Bengaluru or Delhi. The journey is long, so seven nights keeps the pace comfortable.

A suggested route for Dindigul travellers

After a long journey, keep the first evening light. Spend the middle days on Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam at an easy pace, and keep the last night in Srinagar so the return journey is not rushed.

When Dindigul travellers usually go

The January Pongal break, Diwali and the April–May holidays are popular times to travel, and a winter trip offers snow.

For month-by-month conditions, see our honeymoon packages guide and the article on how much a Kashmir trip costs.
