Kashmir Tour Package from Punjab by Bus 2026–27

Travelling from Punjab? Join the Delhi to Srinagar Volvo coach, then see Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg with a local Srinagar team.

Kashmir tour package from Punjab by bus: how it works

Punjab is the closest big state to Jammu and Kashmir, so many guests treat the trip as a long road holiday and even drive part of the way.

Punjab is within easy reach of Delhi, so most guests travel there by road or rail and board the coach the same day or the evening before.

Our Volvo coach package covers the long highway leg from Delhi to Srinagar, then hotels and a private cab for sightseeing inside Kashmir. The road from Delhi to Srinagar runs roughly 850 to 880 km along NH44 via Ambala, Jalandhar, Pathankot, Jammu, Udhampur, Ramban and the Banihal tunnel. A coach usually needs about 16 to 20 hours, depending on traffic, meal stops and road conditions.

How to reach Kashmir from Punjab

From Punjab to Delhi

Punjab is within easy reach of Delhi, so most guests travel there by road or rail and board the coach the same day or the evening before.

The Volvo coach

The coach runs overnight on NH44 with meal stops. Boarding point, departure day, seat type and fare are confirmed when you book, because they depend on the date and the coach operating on it. Heavy rain, landslides or snow can close or slow the highway, mainly between December and February and during the monsoon, so keep a day of buffer.

Inside Kashmir

Once you reach Srinagar, a private cab and hotel stays are arranged by our local team. See our Kashmir cab booking page.

Tips for travellers from Punjab

  • Amritsar is only about 210 km from Jammu, so ask us if you want to join the route at Jammu instead of going to Delhi.
  • Winter fog can slow highway traffic around Ambala and Pathankot; leave buffer time.
  • Carry a government photo ID for every traveller, including children.
