Amarnath Yatra Package from Pune

Plan the Amarnath Yatra from Pune with a Srinagar-based team that looks after your hotels, cabs and helicopter arrangements on the Kashmir side.

Pune pilgrims typically fly direct or via Mumbai or Delhi to Srinagar or Jammu, or take a long-distance train via Delhi. Acme Tour And Travels is based in Srinagar and arranges the Kashmir end of the pilgrimage – airport or station pickup, hotels, cabs, helicopter arrangements and local support – so pilgrims travelling from Pune, Maharashtra can focus on the darshan itself.

Important: The Amarnath Yatra 2027 dates, registration timings and fees have not been announced yet. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) notifies them each year. Details on this page follow the 2026 yatra (3 July to 28 August 2026, advance registration from 15 April 2026) and will be updated once SASB publishes the 2027 schedule. Always confirm dates and rules on the official portal, jksasb.nic.in.

Getting from Pune to Kashmir

A direct or one-stop flight gets you to Kashmir quickly, but we still recommend arriving at least a day before the yatra so your body can adjust to the altitude.

Once your yatra date is allotted, book your flight or train to Srinagar or Jammu and send us the details. We arrange the pickup, the stay and the onward drive to Baltal or Pahalgam. See our transportation guide, or choose a Srinagar pickup or Jammu pickup plan.

Amarnath Yatra packages for pilgrims from Pune

All Amarnath Yatra rates are on request because they depend on the route, the number of travellers, the dates allotted by the Shrine Board, the hotel category and whether you choose helicopter or trekking. Send us your details for a written quotation.

How a trip from Pune is usually planned

  1. Wait for the official dates. Registration for the yatra is handled through the Shrine Board portal and designated bank branches; we do not issue your permit.
  2. Get the health certificate. A Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor is part of registration.
  3. Book travel after your date is allotted. Fly or take a train from Pune to Srinagar or Jammu.
  4. Arrive a day early. Rest and acclimatise in Srinagar, Sonamarg or Pahalgam before the yatra day.
  5. Yatra day. Travel to Baltal or Pahalgam and complete the darshan on foot, by pony or palki, or by helicopter, as per your package.
  6. Buffer and sightseeing. Keep a spare day for weather, then enjoy Srinagar, Gulmarg or Sonamarg before you fly home.

What to carry from Pune

Pilgrims from warm coastal and plains cities should pack thermals, a windproof jacket, gloves and a woollen cap even in July and August. Also carry your registration papers, photo ID, the health certificate, regular medicines, a rain jacket, thermals, gloves, a cap, sturdy shoes, a torch and a refillable water bottle.

Yatra rules to know before you book

  • Registration is compulsory and you must travel on your allotted date.
  • In 2026 the yatra was open to pilgrims aged 13 to 70, and women with a pregnancy of more than six weeks were not permitted, as in recent years. Check the 2027 guidelines.
  • The shrine is at about 3,888 metres, so altitude sickness is a real risk. If symptoms worsen, descend and seek medical help.
  • Helicopter seats, weather and road conditions can change plans at short notice.

Amarnath Yatra Package from Pune – frequently asked questions

What is the best way to travel from Pune to Kashmir for the Amarnath Yatra?

Most pilgrims from Pune reach Srinagar or Jammu by air or by train, depending on budget and time. Please check current airline and IRCTC schedules once your yatra date is allotted. See our Amarnath Yatra transportation 2027 guide for how we handle transfers from the airport or station to the base camps.

How many days should I plan for the Amarnath Yatra from Pune?

For pilgrims from Western India we usually suggest 5 to 6 days away from home. That covers travel, rest before the yatra, the yatra day itself and a buffer for weather. Helicopter packages are shorter; trekking packages need more time.

Have the Amarnath Yatra 2027 dates been announced?

Not yet. The Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board announces the dates each year. In 2026 the yatra ran for 57 days from 3 July to 28 August, and advance registration opened on 15 April. For 2027, please wait for the official notification on jksasb.nic.in before booking flights or trains.

Is registration compulsory for the Amarnath Yatra?

Yes. Pilgrims must hold a valid registration and travel on the date and route allotted to them. A Compulsory Health Certificate from an authorised doctor is part of the process. Read our step-by-step guide to Amarnath Yatra registration 2027.

Can Acme Tour & Travels arrange a helicopter for the yatra?

We include helicopter arrangements in our helicopter packages, subject to ticket availability, the Shrine Board’s rules and weather. Helicopter flights can be delayed or cancelled in bad weather, so we cannot guarantee a seat or time slot until it is confirmed. See Amarnath Yatra by helicopter 2027.

Which route is better – Pahalgam or Baltal?

Baltal is the shorter and steeper route and is the one most often chosen for a quick one-day darshan. The Pahalgam route is the traditional, longer trek via Chandanwari and Sheshnag. Our guides to the Baltal route and the Pahalgam route explain the difference in detail.
