The remaining time can be spent at leisure. India's largest city, Srinagar, is well-known for its valley, lakes, and Mughal gardens. You may spend the day at the houseboat/hotel or take a Shikara ride in Nehru Park in the evening. Once finished, return to the hotel or houseboat to spend the night.

  2. Day 2Srinagar Sightseeing Tour

Return to your hotel or houseboat thereafter to have an overnight stay.

After a wholesome breakfast, travel from Srinagar to Gulmarg in a short amount of time. You will witness nature at its finest once you arrive. Have fun staying the night at Pahalgam.

  5. Day 5Pahalgam Sightseeing Tour

After a delectable breakfast, proceed to Chandanwadi. A pony ride is what you'll enjoy at this stunning snow point in the Kashmir Valley, which is around 14 miles from Pahalgam. Fabulous Kashmir Family Pack – frequently asked questions

Can you arrange a Kashmir package for families travelling with children?

Yes. We can customise family packages according to the ages of the children, number of travellers, travel dates, and preferred accommodation.

For families, we recommend comfortable hotels with suitable heating during winter, convenient access, appropriate room arrangements, and a manageable sightseeing schedule.

We also advise parents to pack suitable clothing for the season, carry essential items, and allow extra time for travel between destinations.

For families with young children or elderly members, we generally recommend avoiding an overly packed itinerary and leaving flexibility for weather or road-related changes.

Is Kashmir safe for families and honeymoon couples?

Kashmir welcomes families, couples, and travellers with different interests. However, no destination can be guaranteed completely risk-free, and conditions can change.

We recommend checking current travel advisories, local conditions, and weather updates before departure. During your trip, follow local guidance, especially when travelling to higher-altitude destinations or areas affected by snow.

For families, we suggest comfortable accommodation, suitable transport, and a flexible itinerary. For honeymoon couples, we can recommend peaceful stays and romantic experiences based on the season.

Our aim is to help guests plan responsibly and enjoy their holiday with confidence.

What happens if bad weather affects my Kashmir itinerary?

Weather conditions, snowfall, road closures, and other local circumstances can affect sightseeing and travel schedules, especially in winter.

If a disruption occurs, the available alternatives depend on the affected route, current conditions, and supplier availability. We recommend keeping some flexibility in your itinerary and avoiding tight connections between destinations.

If changes become necessary, we aim to communicate the available options and discuss any changes affecting the agreed services or price before proceeding, wherever possible (see our cancellation and refund policy).

Travellers should always follow local authorities' guidance when weather or road conditions make travel unsuitable.

What is included in an Acme Tour & Travels Kashmir package?

Our standard package inclusions generally cover:

  • Hotel or houseboat accommodation.
  • Breakfast and dinner, according to the selected meal plan.
  • Private cab for the agreed itinerary.
  • Vehicle fuel.
  • Applicable toll taxes.
  • Driver night charges.
  • Parking charges.

Some packages may also include a Shikara ride or other specified activities. Inclusions vary by quotation, so we provide the details before confirmation.

Gondola tickets, pony rides, local union taxis, entrance tickets, optional activities, shopping, and sightseeing outside the agreed itinerary may cost extra unless specifically included in writing.

We can also arrange accommodation-only, transport-only (see Kashmir car rental with driver), or customised packages according to your requirements.

What are the extra expenses in a Kashmir tour package?

Extra expenses depend on the selected package and itinerary. Common examples include:

  • Gulmarg Gondola tickets.
  • Pony rides.
  • Local union taxis for particular sightseeing areas.
  • Entrance tickets.
  • Optional activities and adventure experiences.
  • Additional sightseeing outside the agreed route.
  • Personal shopping and expenses.
  • Meals or services not included in the selected plan.

We recommend asking for a written quotation that clearly separates included services from optional expenses.

It is also sensible to keep approximately 10–15% of your planned trip budget aside for unforeseen expenses. This is a budgeting suggestion, not a mandatory fee.
