Brief Introduction of Dawar
Dawar, the former capital of the Dards, is the main municipality and administrative hub of the valley. Surrounded by homes and farms, it has a tiny market with a few "hair saloons," fruit vendors, and stores selling dry goods. Nearly all of the businesses, homes, and restaurants are constructed from big wooden boards and only have the most minimal utilities.
You would think you had gone back in time if it weren't for the water bottles and snack packs. This demonstrates how an area devoid of many modern comforts may yet be simple to live in. In this way, village life in the country outshines the bustle of the major metropolis.
Gow Chari, which means "grazing area," is an upland on the mountainside where you may experience the atmosphere and beautiful carpet of pine needles much better than a Persian carpeting in a lavish residence.
